A fashion collection for any kind of body. Alien Fashion gently confronts the audience with the borders of their own horizon.
This still expanding collection of over twenty designs was created without a particular form in mind. It is an indication of nonhuman beings. Another kind of sentient life, whose culture and anatomy are different from our own, yet familiar enough, to catch a glimpse of ourselves in it. The audience can explore the space between identification and alienation. Thereby learning about their attitude towards the foreign, the unfamiliar.
With this work I try to open up mental spaces, forcing people to think differently about what is normal and what is not. Hopefully, this may create curiosity, to engage with the strange in their own lives. Be it the unknown within themselves, or the outside world.
